The 17th Rheydter Kunsttage are set to be an exciting cultural event, funded by the city of Mönchengladbach via the cultural office and the Volksbank Heinsberg. The weekend will see a variety of performances and exhibitions, all taking place at the Kunstsignal in the Old Station Geneicken, Otto-Saffran-Straße 102, Rheydt.

The weekend kicks off with a vernissage on Friday, 5th of September, at 7 pm. Not only will visitors have the opportunity to view the exhibition, but they will also be treated to a live performance by the band "Infoul by String Band". This Ukrainian ensemble of six musicians, all with master's degrees, will play sensitive to lively melodies in their own arrangements, ranging from classical music to new interpretations of rock, jazz, and pop songs.

On Saturday, 6th of September, the Mönchengladbach "Byggesett Orchestra" will take the stage at 7 pm. This unique group, consisting of Markus Türk (trumpet, didg), Peter Körfer (e-bariton guitar, loops), and Georg Sehrbrock (keys), surprises with new sound combinations, giving the feeling of a meeting of different musical worlds and boundless sound experiments.

Saturday and Sunday, each from 2 pm, will see the exhibition open to the public. The exhibition features works by Gabriela Drees-Holz, Wolfgang Hamacher, Waleed Ibrahim, Hotte Jungbluth, Waltraud Knops, Beate Krempe, Daniela Löh, and Wolfgang Ruske, as well as Marina Yakovenko-Svida. Visitors can also enjoy piano performances by Daniel Michels during the exhibition.

On Sunday, 7th of September, at 3 pm, the acoustic blues-pop band "Hier geht was" will perform. Their German lyrics come across poetic, quirky, soft, loud, but always intense and authentic.

Admission to the exhibition is free, making it an accessible event for all. The patron of the 17th Rheydter Kunsttage is Christiane Schüßler. Beril Kan and Paula Henriette Zwicker will also present a video on the theme "BEING HUMAN".

Don't miss out on this musical weekend at the 17th Rheydter Kunsttage. Whether you're a music lover or an art enthusiast, there's something for everyone. See you there!
