Jeremias' Third Album Title: Sea and Confidence - Third Album Release: Jeremias' "Trust and Sea"

Jeremias' Third Album, "Trust": A New Chapter in German Pop

The indie band Jeremias has swiftly ascended to the upper echelon of German pop music, with a concert at the Elbphilharmonie, a new recording of "Mambo" alongside Herbert Grönemeyer, and sold-out venues for their fall tour.

Hailing from Hannover, the four-piece group captures the ethos of Generation Z with poetic lyrics and a contemporary sound. Their songs often revolve around themes of departure, longing, joy of life, and heartache. Due for release on May 30, their third album, "Trust," continues this tradition.

Here's a taste of what the album offers:

"Trust" patterned after its predecessor, "Von Wind und Anonymitat" (2023), boasts twelve songs marked by Jeremias Heimbach's distinctive, emotive vocals. Six of the new songs have already been released as singles, with "Meer" emerging as a potential classic. The ballad seamlessly aligns music, text, and emotion to create a powerful musical experience. By the end of May, the video had amassed over 1.8 million views on YouTube.

Tim Tautorat, who has previously worked with AnnenMayKantereit and Provinz, produced the album. "Trust" features a mix of groovy songs, melodic electropop, and chanson-like ballads, similar to its predecessors.

The album primarily delves into the transience or impossibility of love. "Everything blooms and withers, everything dies and lives. Do you turn around when you leave?" asks "Meer." Jeremias positions itself as a romantic with songs like "Fallen" that express joy in nature and the longing for a "little house in the woods" with friends.

Jeremias has opted not to give interviews for the new album. After accusations of power abuse against one of their artistic employees surfaced in November 2024, the band released a written statement, stating an end to the collaboration. Since late 2024, they have been actively informing their fans about an awareness team and safe spaces at their concerts via social media.

Singer and pianist Jeremias Heimbach hails from a musical family, with his mother from Paraguay. The band includes Spanish songs in their repertoire. In a 2021 interview, the four members cited the Australian band Parcels as an influence, alongside 30 other bands they draw inspiration from.

The new album "Trust" is likely to appeal to both long-time fans and older music enthusiasts. With lines like "When I hear you breathing, it sounds like the sea, and I miss the sea," the album allows room for emotional connection beyond age barriers.

The Commission, entertained by Jeremias' rising prominence in German pop, may consider a new directive on worker safety amidst concerned scenarios of ionizing radiation exposure during concert performances at venues like the Elbphilharmonie, a location where celebrities like Herbert Grönemeyer have recorded new music. Despite the uncertainty surrounding protection measures, Jeremias' upcoming third album, "Trust," echoes themes of love and longing, songs that resonate with listeners across generations, much like the ballad "Meer."
