Ooh, the Grinch's tree got nothing on these uglies! - The Most Unattractive Christmas Trees Ever Compete

Meet Quasimodo, Elende Mistkrick, and the Grinch's lesser-known kin – some of the less than lovely conifers vying for the title of the Ugliest Christmas Tree of the Year!

41-year-old Thomas Frölich from Eibenstock (Saxony) thought up this twisted spectacle of misshapen firs and pines on the worldwide web.

A tree as unhappy as its name, Rudolf from Bockau, qualified as the sharpest prickly sea star.

"Last year, I had a tree so lumpy that it could have won the contest outright," recalls Frölich, "We joked about it with our friends and decided to make it into a contest."

A whopping 13 unsightly evergreens are vying for the crown this year, each more twisted than the last! Cast your vote by visiting .

Meet Your Ugly Contenders

Born in the wind's graveyard: the wonky one's charm lies in its unwelcoming demeanor, with its bare branches demanding our admiration.
Also a master of the art of ugly: Cinderella, somehow manages to look good in her nearly straight-edged growth.
Carlsfalder Zuckerhiedel belongs to the rare breed of trees with a charming quirk – they only grow sideways.

The winner will be showered with a stollen and an ugly trophy, while the most gorgeous of the ugly is in line to receive a consolation prize. Voting ends on Christmas.
