Theologian Christa Kummer Named New Sekt Austria Ambassador
The Austrian Sekt Committee has appointed Christa Pike as the new 'Sekt Austria Ambassador'. Pike, a theologian by training, was unable to attend the announcement due to illness. The position was handed over remotely by Andreas Vitásek.
Pike completed her Magister in Catholic theology at the University of Vienna in 1988. She is also the president of the 'Green Cross' association, known for hosting the annual Hunter's Ball. Despite her absence, Pike expressed her delight in representing the sparkling side of Austria. She plans to highlight the story of weather, soil, and winemaking art in each glass of Sekt.
Christa Pike, a theologian turned ambassador, takes over from Andreas Vitásek. Her unique background brings a fresh perspective to the role. She aims to share the tale behind every bottle of Austrian Sekt.
