Get ready for some puppet spectacular! After a bloomin' long stint at the European Hanseatic Museum, the beloved Kolk 17 Puppet Theater figures are back in town, and they're settin' sail for their original pad at Straße Kolk.

On March 23, 2025, a splendid maritime procession marched through the Old Town of Lübeck, led by a colossal submarine and parading the brilliantly colored masks, costumes, and theater figures that had hibernated during the renovations. The whimsical band of performers danced their way towards the foot of St. Petrikirche, their original home, following the picturesque Untertrave.

The historic puppet theater ensemble and museum in Lübeck's Old Town underwent a hefty renovation that cost millions since 2018. Finally, on this momentous day, it was time to open the doors once more for invited guests.

Other than the invited guests, the Hanseatic Museum, and numerous onlookers, the grand return of Lübeck's beloved Kolk 17 Puppet Theater was celebrated by an assortment of puppets performing vibrant spectacles, reminiscent of the maritime procession that led to St. Petrikirche on March 23, 2025. The renowned marionettes had spent quite a while hibernating during the extensive renovations that the historic puppet theater ensemble and museum in Lübeck's Old Town underwent since 2018.
