Theater collaborations initiated in Romania and France, with Avignon Festival and Shakespearean productions taking center stage
In an exciting turn of events, a theatrical caravan consisting of three theater vans, a mobile stage, and a team of ten artists is touring Romania, bringing the works of Shakespeare to audiences across the country. This caravan is a part of the FISC project Shakespeare - Everywhere, which aims to bring theater performances to 61 localities in Romania.
The caravan's program includes theater workshops, a recital of sonnets, and the performance of Shakespeare Reduced. The recital "Shakespeare Gallery: Traveling Sonnets" will be presented in French, while Shakespeare Reduced is part of the caravan's program.
The collaboration between the OFF Avignon performing arts festival in France and the International Shakespeare Festival Craiova (FISC) for the Shakespeare Of(f) Avignon project in 2025 is a one-of-a-kind theatrical partnership. Festival d'Avignon 2025 and Craiova International Shakespeare Festival have partnered specifically for this special project, which will take place during the Avignon OFF Festival in 2025.

As part of this collaboration, Shakespeare - Everywhere will deliver several performances in Avignon, France. On July 22, 23, and 24, the recital "Shakespeare Gallery: Traveling Sonnets" will be presented in French in Avignon. Moreover, the Shakespeare Of(f) Avignon project will present two performances from the OFF Avignon 2025 program at next year's FISC.
