"The 'Ural' President has expressed the team's goal for the new season."
Ural's New Boss: Miroslav Romashchenko
The big news for FC Ural fans is the appointment of Miroslav Romashchenko as their new head coach. This decision, made jointly by the board of directors, was confirmed by club president Grigory Ivanov in an interview with Sport Experts.
"Romashchenko has worked under Shatov before. He's familiar with the team, the FNL landscape. We all understand the task at hand: Ural needs to make a splash in the RPL!" said Ivanov.
The team's finances will remain steady, with potential for growth. Despite this, Ivanov expressed gratitude to sponsors and the governor for their support, and hinted at the possibility of selling select players to boost the club's earnings.
"We have decent funding for FNL standards. Thanks to our backers and the governor for the backing. I believe the club should earn its own way. We have players to sell," added the club president.
New signings aren't on the agenda for this season. The team is set with its current roster.
"Why bring in numbers? That's not our style. We need to invite only those who can truly bolster Ural," said Ivanov.
While halfback Andrej Egregorjev and goalkeeper Alexander Selihov may depart due to un-extended contracts, Martin Seculich is confirmed to stay. His contract expires only in two years.
Return to the RPL with Russia's Former National Team Coach
Last season, Ural finished fourth in the league table, securing a playoff spot against Ahmat Grozny. Had Ural won, they would have returned to the RPL. However, a questionable refereeing decision[1][4] robbed them of this opportunity, a decision later confirmed by the Russian Football Union.

Romashchenko, the former national team coach, is returning to lead FC Ural in their mission to make a splash in the Russian Premier League (RPL). The team will focus on European-leagues football and sports, as Romashchenko has experience working under Shatov and is familiar with the team and the FNL landscape.
