ZDF Fernsehgarten Takes a Break on August 1, Resumes with Sports and Anniversary Celebrations

The popular German television show "ZDF Fernsehgarden" will not air on Sunday, August 1, due to a thunderstorm that forced an evacuation of the show last week. The storm disrupted the "Mallorca meets Minigolf" themed show, and the program was resumed outdoors later without the regular audience.

The "Fernsehgarden" began in 1986 and has become a staple of German television, airing weekly during the spring and summer months. The show typically features themed shows, including music, seasonal specials, and cultural events. This year marks the 25th anniversary of Andrea Kiewel's hosting of the show, who took over in 2000 from previous hosts like Ilona Christen and Ramona Leiß.

After a brief hiatus, the "Fernsehgarden" will return to the airwaves on August 3, with a focus on sports. The show will feature the finals of a multisport event in Dresden, where numerous championship titles across various sports will be awarded.

The remaining episodes of "ZDF Fernsehgarden" in 2025 include themed shows such as "Schlagerparty" on August 10, "Miami Vibes" on August 17, "Discofox" on August 24, "Time Travel" on August 31, "Rock in the Garden" on September 7, "Let the Choirs Sing" on September 21, and "Oktoberfest" on September 28. There are 7 "Fernsehgarden" episodes remaining until late September.

Out of the 20 planned "Fernsehgarden" episodes since early May, 13 have already aired. The show has a history of being moved indoors due to bad weather, as seen in 2019 during a traditional edition with Ballermann stars.

For those interested in the upcoming themes and schedule changes for ZDF Fernsehgarden in 2025, it is recommended to consult the official ZDF Fernsehgarden webpage or their press releases, reliable television guide platforms or ZDF's official program announcements, or recent news articles or announcements closer to the air dates of remaining episodes. There is a planned absence on September 14.

Stay tuned for more updates on "ZDF Fernsehgarden" as official announcements or updated schedules become available after early August 2025.

The brief hiatus for the "ZDF Fernsehgarten" will allow for a focus on sports when it resumes on August 3. After the sports-themed episode, the show will continue with themed shows such as entertainment-based events like "Schlagerparty" and "Discofox".
