Hot, Sunny Days Ahead in Germany: A Look at the Weather Forecast

Sunny skies expected on Whit Monday, our live map reveals regions to offer the most warmth. - The sun's ascent will commence unabated from Monday.

Bid farewell to the recent wet weather and welcome sunshine and warmth starting from Pentecost Monday, according to the German Weather Service (DWD). With temperatures soaring to over 30 degrees towards the second half of the week, it's time to break out the sunscreen!

After a somewhat uncertain Pentecost Sunday, the proportion of sunshine has begun to increase day by day, as announced by the DWD in Offenbach. Although rain showers may occur in the north until the middle of the week, southern regions can expect high-pressure influence starting from Monday.

What's in Store for the Coming Days

The weather will undoubtedly take a turn for the warmer, states DWD meteorologist Tobias Reinartz. The mercury will start climbing, reaching 20 to 25 degrees in the central and southern regions on Tuesday. Perhaps even more, with 30 degrees possible on Wednesday, and the Upper Rhine might see even higher temperatures.

By the start of the second half of the week, the temperatures will be sizzling, with many places forecasting over 30 degrees starting Thursday. However, a cool down is anticipated towards the weekend as temperatures begin to drop and showers and thunderstorms become more likely.

It's worth noting that the slightly cooler and wetter weather we've experienced recently is nothing out of the ordinary for this time of year in Central Europe. Germany lies within the west wind zone, which means the area experiences a diverse mix of high and low pressure influences.
