Say hello to Thuringia's latest notable duo: Eric Stehfest (34), a former TV star from GZSZ, and his wife Edith (28), along with their kiddos (7 and 2). Hailing from the region, Eric found it fitting to reconnect with his roots by settling back in Eichsfeld.
"My father's from here, and my grandma Christel, who we'll be celebrating Christmas with for the first time, resides here," shares Eric. The Stehfests, children of divorce, desired to offer their youth an unbroken family life - a sentiment that drove their relocation from their spacious Brandenburg abode with a garden to a cozy 150-square-meter apartment in Thuringia.
"Aaron, our eldest, missed 64 school days in his first year due to our hectic work schedule,” Eric admits. To alleviate this issue, they now rely on the help of their cousin Natascha (34), who often watches over the kiddos, enabling the couple to focus on their new life in Eichsfeld.
Since their arrival, Eric and Edith Stehfest have become a talking point in the regional news, with the locals of Erfurt and the surrounding areas extending warm welcomes to the famous couple.
