In the world of video game music, the latest additions to the Nintendo Music app have sent waves of excitement through the gaming community. Last month, the first Switch 2 score launched on the platform, with a handful of tracks from the upcoming Kirby Air Riders added as a special release. Today, on Friday September 19, a number of tracks from the Donkey Kong Bananza soundtrack were added to the streaming platform.

The Donkey Kong Bananza soundtrack includes a variety of catchy tunes, such as 'Lagoon Layer', 'Canyon Layer', 'Battle Challenge', and '2D Challenge Course 1 (DK Island Swing From DKC1)'. The special release also includes eight tracks from the early stages of the game, as well as a song from the recently-released 'Emerald Isle' DLC. The person responsible for the soundtrack composition is Naoto Kubo, who served as the sound director and lead composer for the game. Kubo is also known for his work on Super Mario Odyssey.

However, not all Reddit users are satisfied with the current selection. While some are expressing excitement about the addition of tracks to Nintendo Music, others are frustrated that only nine tracks from Donkey Kong Bananza have been added. A third-party playlist on YouTube, they note, has the full collection.

Nintendo faced backlash earlier this month for charging £16 for the Donkey Kong Bananza DLC. The soundtrack, too, is set to get a limited edition vinyl release.

Meanwhile, the Atomfall soundtrack, with its aim to capture the brutal, raw energy of the game's factions, mysteries, and environments, is also set for a vinyl release. Rebellion's Audio Director Graham Gatheral has stated that the soundtrack aims to reflect the game's intense atmosphere.

The Nintendo Music app, unveiled last year for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, allows users to listen to soundtracks from a number of iconic Nintendo games, curate playlists, and create extended versions of their favourites. With the addition of more soundtracks every week, the platform now boasts more than 100 soundtracks.

Whether you're a fan of Donkey Kong Bananza, Atomfall, or any other classic Nintendo game, the Nintendo Music app is a must-have for any music-loving gamer. Stay tuned for more updates on new additions to the platform.
