The Snuts return with raw new single Summer Rain ahead of 2026 album
Scottish indie rock band The Snuts have released their first new news since 2024. The track, Summer Rain, explores personal struggles, including postnatal depression and the uncertainty of returning home after touring. It marks the lead single from their upcoming fourth album, What Gives You the Right, due out on June 6, 2026.
Frontman Jack Cochrane wrote Summer Rain after the band reconnected with their roots in West Lothian. The song reflects his wife's battle with postnatal depression and the emotional toll of life on the road. Despite its heavy themes, the track carries an undercurrent of hope.
The accompanying music video was filmed in an ancient Scottish woodland and along a nearby beach. This release comes ahead of the band's UK tour, which kicks off at Lincoln's Engine Shed on March 12. The album will arrive via their own label, Happy Artist, in partnership with Virgin Music Group.
The Snuts' new news signals a return after a two-year break. What Gives You the Right will be their first full-length release since 2024. Fans can expect a mix of raw storytelling and the band's signature indie rock sound.
