The Saga of the Decased Canines - The "Usedom Mystery"

In the upcoming episode of the popular German crime drama "Usedom Crime," set to air on August 2nd, 2023, at 8:15 PM on One, the story takes a dark turn as the main detective, former prosecutor Karin Lossow (Katrin Sass), becomes embroiled in a chilling investigation.

The plot revolves around the discovery of three dead puppy corpses in a forest, an incident that raises alarm in the local community on the island of Usedom. As the detectives delve deeper, they uncover a web of mystery tied to animal cruelty and human motives.

Lossow, a character known for her complex past, has a history of being involved in police investigations. This is not her first encounter with crime, as she served a prison sentence for the murder of her husband before returning to the island. Her daughter and granddaughter, who were characters in the series, have since left.

Lossow's current ally in the investigation is Ivo Klose, a suspect in Jana Leppin's disappearance. Klose, who has served time for manslaughter, has a troubled past with Lara Scherer, who is temporarily staying in the Scherers' vacation apartment. Scherer, who bears scars on her face and soul from a dog attack in her childhood, has a strained relationship with Klose.

Carpenter Jörg Scherer (Jörg Schüttauf) and his daughter Lara (Lilly Dreesen) are helping Lossow build her new home, as her house has burned down and she is currently in the process of rebuilding. Lossow gets along well with both Jörg Scherer and Lara Scherer.

Katrin Sass, the lead actress, hopes the series continues as long as everyone enjoys it and the audience wants to see it. She expresses a desire for Karin Lossow's life not to become too ordinary, stating that Lossow is not a boring character.

In a recent ARD interview, Sass shared her thoughts on the character development, "I don't want Karin Lossow's life to become mundane, such as moving in together or having slippers by a shared door." This sentiment reflects the suspenseful and intriguing nature of the series, which weaves together suspense, local atmosphere, and layers of mystery in each episode.

Tune in to One on August 2nd, 2023, at 8:15 PM to follow Karin Lossow as she navigates the complexities of the "Cemetery of Puppies" case, and uncovers the secrets that lie hidden within the community of Usedom.
