The Russian Federation does not plan for clubs to depart prior to the 2025/26 season.

The 2025/26 Russian Premier League (RPL) season is on the horizon, with a new wave of excitement surrounding the competition following the Russian Football Union's (RFU) stricter licensing requirements. These measures have resulted in some clubs failing to pass the procedure, leading to changes in the participant list.

In a significant move, the Dispute Control and Compliance (DCC) has decided to exclude two clubs, Himki and Moscow's Torpedo, from the championship participants. Both teams have been absent from the RPL for different reasons. Himki was administratively relegated from the Premier League in a previous season and did not participate in the 2025/26 Russian First League. On the other hand, Torpedo Moscow was excluded from the 2025/26 RPL by the RFU just before the season's start.

Despite these changes, the RFU President, Alexander Dyukov, remains optimistic about the completion of the new RPL season. He expressed his belief that all clubs starting the season will be able to complete the tournament. Furthermore, he stated that there are currently no signs of any participants in the new RPL season being prematurely disqualified.

To ensure a stable composition of participants for the new season, the RFU has taken proactive measures. One of the most notable outcomes of these measures is the addition of Orenburg to the participant list. Orenburg has taken the place of the excluded teams, providing a balanced line-up for the new RPL season.

The RFU's management believes that these measures have been successful in ensuring a stable composition of participants for the new RPL season. Alexander Dyukov, in particular, emphasised that the measures taken allow for a stable composition of participants in the new RPL season.

As the new RPL season approaches, fans eagerly anticipate the action-packed games ahead. With a stable participant list and the RFU's commitment to maintaining high standards, the 2025/26 RPL season promises to be an exciting and competitive one.

Bookmakers are likely to adjust their odds for the 2025/26 Russian Premier League (RPL) season, as two clubs, Himki and Moscow's Torpedo, have been excluded from the championship participants, paving the way for new contenders like Orenburg. In European-leagues and premier-leagues around the world, football enthusiasts will keenly follow the developments in the Russian Premier League, anticipating a competitive season ahead.
