In Thuringia's political scene, the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) continues to hold the reins, according to recent polls. The AfD, led by the controversial figure Björn Höcke, maintains a strong grip, commanding a whopping 30% of the votes, just as in early August polls.

The CDU follows with 22%, while the alliance spearheaded by Sahra Wagenknecht's BSW is close behind with 17%. The Left party has watched its star rise, now standing at 14%, and the SPD and Greens remain steady at 7% and 4% respectively.

The poll, conducted by Forsa for RTL and ntv TV stations, involved 1,005 respondents from August 27 to 29, and carries an error margin of about 3 percentage points. Keep in mind, polls merely reflect the atmosphere at the time of the survey and do not predict election outcomes.

The 'Other' election options collectively gather 8% of the votes, showcasing a significant number of Thuringian voters exploring options beyond mainstream parties.
