"The Petition for Trial of 'Little Martyrdom of the A10'': Chancellery Affirms Ongoing Process for its Implementation in 2025"

The trial of Halima El Bakhti and Ahmed Touloub, parents of the little girl known as the "little martyr of the A10", is set to begin, following their arrest in 2018 for charges including murder, concealment of a corpse, and habitual violence against a child under 15. The case has gained significant attention, with over 12,000 people signing a petition demanding a suitable courtroom by 2025 for the trial.

The trial, labeled as a "sensitive trial", will receive assistance on various aspects, including real estate, digital, security, and victim accompaniment. Unlike other high-profile cases such as the Carton rouge affair, the Le Scouarnec affair, and the Adecco affair, this trial will not be externalized. However, exceptionally, total or partial externalization solutions can be sought if the court is unable to accommodate the trial.

Mouv'Enfants, a child advocacy organisation, launched a petition on August 7, 2022, demanding the necessary arrangements for a suitable courtroom. They find it unacceptable that authorities have not yet found a suitable location to organize the trial in Loir-et-Cher.

The Court of Cassation decided in September 2024 that Ahmed Touloub and Halima El Bakhti would be retried by a court of assizes in 2025. Nine civil parties have been constituted for this trial, as of June 2025, according to the Chancellery.

The trial will take place within a judicial enclosure, unless the court is unable to accommodate it. Notable trials anticipated for 2025, including those of Sarkozy, Depardieu, Jubillar, and others, are expected to mark the year.

A white march is planned for September 6 in Sèvres to ensure justice is served. Mouv'Enfants demands progress and refuses to live in a society that is not on the side of child victims. The Minister of Justice, Gérald Darmanin, is called upon by Mouv'Enfants to allocate resources and ensure the trial takes place.

Inass Touloub was finally identified through her brother's DNA in an unrelated case. The mutilated body of a 4-year-old girl was found on the A10 motorway in Sèvres in 1987 without any leads or identification. The parents have accused each other of the crimes, but the trial will provide a platform for the truth to be revealed.

As the trial approaches, the public awaits updates on the scheduled date and the reasons why a suitable courtroom has not been found yet. For the latest developments, it would be advisable to check recent news from reliable sources or official judiciary announcements.

  1. The trial, classified as a "sensitive trial," will receive support in several areas such as real estate, digital, security, and victim accompaniment, but may consider externalization if the court is incapable of accommodating it.
  2. Mouv'Enfants, an advocacy organization for children, have demanded that the necessary arrangements be made for a suitable courtroom for the trial, expressing dissatisfaction that a suitable location has yet to be found in Loir-et-Cher.
