A fresh take on The Peppercorns is arriving this March, complete with a new theme song and multiple ways to enjoy the series. Fans can look forward to audio dramas, streaming episodes, and a TV premiere—all within weeks of each other. The 22nd season will also mark the return of former cast member Nina Chuba, now as the voice behind the updated title track.

The first taste of the new season comes early. Starting March 13, the adventures of The Peppercorns will launch as audio dramas on ARD Sounds. A week later, on March 20, the episodes will hit ARD Mediathek and KiKA for streaming.

The podcast versions will follow on March 21, rolling out across major platforms. Meanwhile, the TV broadcast kicks off on *Das Erste* every Saturday at 8:55 AM, beginning March 23. Nina Chuba, who played Marie in the series from 2008 to 2009, is now lending her voice to the new theme song. This modernised version keeps the original melody but adds contemporary touches. The track will debut alongside the season, continuing the show's tradition of evolving its opening music over the years.

The 22nd season of The Peppercorns brings a mix of nostalgia and new energy. With audio, streaming, and TV releases staggered across March, audiences have multiple ways to follow the young detectives. Nina Chuba's updated theme song ties the season together, blending the show's classic roots with a fresh sound.
