The 2025 State Youth Prize "Daryn" Opens for Applications
The Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan has announced that applications for the prestigious state prize "Daryn" are now open. The application period, which spans from June 26 to August 27, 2025, welcomes both paper and electronic submissions.
Since its establishment in 1992, over 360 individuals from various fields have been honoured with the "Daryn" prize. This year, the competition is open to young talents under the age of 35, who have made significant contributions in their respective fields or have excelled in international and national contests, festivals, exhibitions, or sports competitions.
Candidates who have demonstrated innovative activities that positively impact the development of their field and society are also encouraged to apply. The contest covers 10 categories: Literature, Science, Design and Fine Arts, Journalism, Classical Music, Public Activity, Sports, Theater and Cinema, Pop Art, and Folk Art.
Candidates can be nominated by central, local, or other state bodies, public associations, or legal entities registered in Kazakhstan. Applications must be submitted in both hard copy and electronic form, with the required documents including a copy of the candidate's identity document and a registration application form for the "Daryn" Award, following the specified format.

Winners of the "Daryn" prize are awarded the title "Laureate of the State Youth Prize 'Daryn'", a diploma, a badge, and a cash prize. The state youth prize "Daryn" is awarded annually to support talented youth.
