Celebrity Splits 2024: A Year of Love Lost
The year 2024 was filled with more heartbreak than we care to remember as celebrities called it quits on their relationships left and right. From Hollywood powerhouses to reality TV stalwarts, no one was safe this year.
Iris and Peter Klein's Continued Drama
The year began with a bang (or should we say, a slap) when Daniela Katzenberger's (37) mother Iris Klein (56) and her third husband Peter Klein (56) continued their public feud. Iris accused Peter of infidelity with presenter Yvonne Woelke (42) during their stint on "Jungle Camp Australia," and the mudslinging never truly stopped, even when they were forced to spend time together on "Promi Big Brother" in November. Peter has yet to sign the divorce papers, keeping them technically married.
The Pochers' Public Breakup
Oliver (45) and Amira Pocher (31) had their fair share of drama as well."); Oliver and Amira Pocher had a public, messy breakup after three years of a relationship that was heavily publicized on their joint podcast "Die Pochers!." The couple split on August 31, 2024, announcing the news on the podcast. Shortly afterward, Oliver moved on to a new podcast with his ex-wife, Sandy Meyer-Wölden (40), under the title "Die Pochers! Freshly Recycled."
German TV Personality Splitville
Power-talker Markus Lanz (54) and his wife Angela Gessmann (41) split after twelve years of marriage. "Let's Dance" presenter Victoria Swarovski (30) and her husband Werner Mürz (46) also called it quits after six years. "Promi Big Brother" star Sylvie Meis (45) and artist Niclas Castello (45) parted ways after almost two and a half years of marriage. Celebrity designer Harald Glööckler (58) and his partner, Dieter Schroth (74), announced their separation after 35 years together. The couple, who have three children together, called it quits after ten years of marriage. The breakup of actor couple Tom Hiddleston (42) and Zawe Ashton (36) also made waves in the celebrity world.
