The Masters Tournament adopts Amazon Prime Video as its fresh broadcast companion, enhancing broadcast coverage for the 2026 edition of the event.
In a significant move for sports broadcasting, the Masters golf tournament has announced that Amazon Prime Video will be its new (partial) broadcast home. This partnership marks an exciting opportunity for the Masters Tournament and its fans, as stated by Fred Ridley, Chairman of Augusta National and the Masters.
Beginning this year, viewers can watch first- and second-round coverage for two hours each day of The Masters on Amazon Prime Video. The streaming will take place from 1-3 p.m. ET daily on April 9 and 10. This expansion into the world of streaming is part of the Masters Tournament's broader partnership, which now includes Amazon Prime Video, ESPN, and CBS Sports.
Jay Marine, head of U.S. and global sports at Amazon Prime Video, expressed honor for the company to become a broadcast partner of the Masters Tournament. Amazon Prime Video has previously hosted 'Thursday Night Football' since the beginning of the 2022 season and select New York Yankees games in 2021.
CBS will cover the Masters Tournament after the Amazon stream on April 11 and 12. ESPN's coverage will begin after the Amazon stream, starting from 3-7:30 p.m. ET. Viewers can look forward to extended coverage, as the addition of Amazon Prime Video will increase live coverage of the Masters Tournament by at least 9 hours, totaling 27 hours of coverage.
Paramount+ will stream the third and fourth rounds of the Masters Tournament from noon to 2 p.m. ET before CBS takes over. The WNBA also has some games on Amazon Prime Video, and the NBA will feature some games as well.
Notably, the NHL's Seattle Kraken will broadcast its games on Amazon Prime Video. This partnership further cements Amazon Prime Video's position as a major player in the sports broadcasting industry.
Starting in 2026, the official partner of Amazon Prime Video that will broadcast the Masters Tournament is Augusta National Golf Club, working alongside existing partners CBS Sports, ESPN, and Paramount+. Amazon Prime Video will offer additional live coverage, especially for the first and second rounds.
As the world of sports broadcasting continues to evolve, the partnership between the Masters Tournament and Amazon Prime Video signifies a step forward in bringing the tournament to a wider audience and enhancing the viewing experience for fans.
