Get ready, rock 'n' roll fans! It looks like your favorite oldies-but-goodies, The Rolling Stones, might be dropping some new tunes to help make up for their postponed 2026 European tour.
Last February, the band announced that they'd have to push their anticipated 2025 European tour back to 2026. With stops planned in Germany, London, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Paris, and Copenhagen, fans were gearing up for a rollin' good time. But, alas, plans change, and the grand tour was forced to take a rain check.
But fear not! It's rumored that Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood have decided to channel their studio energy into recording 13 new tracks for The Rolling Stones' 25th (or possibly 32nd!) studio album! As of April 2025, these legendary rockers have allegedly been laying down the tracks at Metropolis Studios in West London, under the guidance of producer Andrew Watt.
Is It a Fact or Just a Foundation?
According to unconfirmed reports, a source close to the band relayed to British newspaper The Sun that Mick, Keith, Ronnie, and drummer Steve Jordan have already recorded 13 songs for their upcoming album. The source added that the band is now in discussions about when exactly they can release this new musical masterpiece.
In addition to releasing their latest work, The Rolling Stones also plan to re-release a remastered version of their 1976 album "Black and Blue" in November, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Ronnie Wood's tenure as a band member. This special edition is said to include two previously unreleased tracks[5].
While these details have yet to be officially confirmed, it certainly seems like The Rolling Stones are keeping busy amid both the delays and cancellations of their live tour. So here's to hoping they'll bring some fresh tunes to rock our hearts and overcompensate for their postponed European trek!
