The Islanders have made a strong commencement.

In a thrilling encounter, the EV Lindau Islanders emerged victorious against SC Riessersee, with a final score of 5:2. The Islanders' second goal of the season was scored by Eetu Elo, who also managed to find the back of the net for the Islanders in their previous game against the same opposition.

The first goal of the season, however, was scored by EV Lindau's opponents, EV Lindau, with Leon Sivic getting on the scoreboard. The game saw several exciting moments, with Zan Jezovsek scoring two goals for the Islanders in the third period, making it 4:1 and 5:2 respectively.

SC Riessersee managed to score two goals in the third period as well, with Robin Soudek and Christopher Chyzowski finding the back of the net. Despite this, it was not enough to prevent the Islanders from securing a much-deserved victory.

The Islanders' strong performance in this game has given them confidence as they prepare for their first home game of the season. On Sunday, at 4 PM, the BPM Arena will host the Islanders as they take on EC Peiting.

Both teams accumulated penalty minutes during the game, with the Islanders receiving 8 and SC Riessersee receiving 8 as well. The attendance for the game was 1309.
