Zakk Wylde Retrieves Iconic "The Grail" Gibson Les Paul Guitar

After a three-year mystery, Zakk Wylde, the renowned heavy metal guitarist, has finally reclaimed his famous black and white "The Grail" Gibson Les Paul guitar. The instrument, known for its distinctive bullseye finish and association with many of Ozzy Osbourne’s biggest tracks, was found in a pawn shop.

The guitar's journey began in 2000 when it fell off a moving vehicle. Wylde feared it was gone forever, given its significance as his main guitar during his career with Ozzy Osbourne. However, the tough chainsaw case that protected "The Grail" ensured its survival on the highway.

Three years later, the guitar found its way into the hands of a buyer who recognized it belonged to Wylde. They contacted him and sold it back, allowing Wylde to reclaim this iconic instrument.

Throughout his career as Ozzy Osbourne’s guitarist, Wylde used "The Grail" guitar extensively. He even wrote the Ozzy Osbourne song "Miracle Man" on it. The partnership between Ozzy Osbourne and Wylde is considered one of heavy metal's most heartwarming pairings.

Wylde acquired "The Grail" guitar in a trade with Scott Quinn, who worked at Garden State Music in New Jersey. Later, he traded it for a double-neck guitar to fulfill a deal with Scott Quinn.

The recovery of "The Grail" guitar marks the end of a long search for Wylde and a triumphant return for one of heavy metal's most iconic instruments. For fans of Wylde and Ozzy Osbourne, this is undoubtedly a moment of celebration.
