Join us for an enlightening discussion at the Feminist City Talks, taking place in cooperation with the Innsbruck City Library. The event, scheduled for an upcoming date, will be moderated by Laura Volgger from the Center for Interdisciplinary Gender Studies Innsbruck, University of Innsbruck.

The guest speaker for this event is Rebekka Endler, a renowned freelance author, journalist, and podcaster. Rebekka will delve into her latest book, "Witches, Bitches, It-Girls," an anecdotal journey through human history that investigates the roots of patriarchy and its impact on contemporary thinking and behavior.

In her book, Rebekka explores various topics, including misogynistic myths, the role of art in canonization, the Romantic era, feminist waves, cancel culture, transphobia, and the concept of a rescuing prince. She also investigates the mommy blogger wave and the roles women's images like "witches, bitches, and it-girls" play in our society.

Rebekka's first book, titled "The Patriarchy of Things. Why the World Doesn't Fit Women," was published in 2021 and has been well-received by critics and readers alike.

This event promises to be both thought-provoking and engaging. We encourage you to make a reservation for the event: 43 512 5360 5700. Rest assured, all rooms are barrier-free, and an induction loop is available in the event room for those with hearing impairments.

Lastly, for those interested, Rebekka Endler will also be featured at the International Conference "Feminist perspectives on the platformisation of care work in European cities" at Europa Universität Flensburg, taking place from July 2nd to 4th, 2025.

We look forward to seeing you at the Feminist City Talks!
