The Establishment Shut Down on September 15
The Citizen's Office Closure and Post-Municipal Election Review by NYPOST
The Citizen's Office in our municipality will be closed on two specific dates in September 2025. The first closure will occur on Monday, 15th September, and the second, in the event of a runoff election, will take place on Monday, 29th September.
The reasons for these closures are related to the municipal elections that took place on the 15th and potentially the 29th. The local elections were organized by Dieter Dresen, who acts as the general representative of the mayor and is responsible for the smooth conduct of the elections within the municipality.
During this election period, the Citizen's Office staff have been participating in the post-municipal election review process. This process involves tasks such as dividing the election district into voting precincts and announcing official results.
On the day of the closure, the staff will be carrying out necessary follow-up work. This work is a crucial part of ensuring the election results are accurate and fair.
The Citizen's Office will reopen on Tuesday, 16th September, and resume its usual hours. In the case of a runoff election, the office will reopen regularly from Tuesday, 30th September.
It's important to note that the post-municipal election review process is taking place during regular office hours for the Citizen's Office. However, due to the extensive work required, some closures are necessary to allow the staff to focus on these tasks.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this period. For any urgent matters, please contact the municipality's alternate contact points. The Citizen's Office looks forward to resuming its regular services after the completion of the post-municipal election review process.
