In Singapore's Open tournament on May 29, the Malaysian mixed doubles pair, Chen Tang Jie, and Toh Ee Wei, showcased their stellar comeback following a brief hiatus, showcasing impressive form. However, their winning streak was halted during the second round.
The world number four duo, who rekindled their partnership post the All England 2025 tournament in Birmingham last March, encountered a defeat against Taiwan's world number 21 pair, Ye Hong Wei and Nicole Gonzales Chan. In the upcoming Indonesia Open, slated for the following week, Tang Jie and Ee Wei will commence their campaign against the Indian pair, Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto, at the Istora Senayan venue. The duo expressed their eagerness to perform well, stating, "We will give it our all. Of course, like every player, we aspire to win."
Earlier in the Singapore Open, five Malaysian pairs along with men's singles player Leong Jun Hao secured their places in the quarterfinals. However, the final results of Tang Jie and Ee Wei at the Indonesia Open remains unreported as of the time of publication.
