The city of Frankfurt am Main is set to unveil a new look for its Willy-Brandt-Platz underground station, as it pays homage to the legendary Bundesliga football club, Eintracht Frankfurt. The transformation was announced on or before August 20, 2025, and is expected to create a stadium atmosphere, albeit a little bit.

The redesign will incorporate elements from over 125 years of Eintracht Frankfurt's club history, with original stadium seats being included in the makeover. The presentation of this new Eintracht look will take place at the U-Bahn station at Willy-Brandt-Platz on Tuesday at 10:30 AM.

The "Pillars of Eintracht" initiative, which has been ongoing since 2013, will also be a part of the overall effort. This initiative displays legendary players of Eintracht Frankfurt in oversized format on the pillars, located in the C-level of the U-Bahn station. However, it's important to note that the "Pillars of Eintracht" initiative does not specify the colors of the pillars to reflect the appropriate colors of Eintracht Frankfurt, as that is only a part of the new redesign.

Expected attendees at the presentation include Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG board member Philipp Reschke, VGF managing director Thomas Raasch, Frankfurt am Main’s head of mobility Wolfgang Siefert, and Eintracht’s record appearance maker Karl-Heinz ‘Charly’ Körbel. Club ambassadors Cha Bum-kun, Alexander Schur, Uwe Bein, and Uwe Bindewald are also scheduled to attend, along with Eintracht vice president Armin Kraaz and other club representatives.

The new design will turn the U-Bahn station into a fan meeting place and a cult location for Eintracht supporters. The platforms in the C-level will reflect the appropriate colors of Eintracht Frankfurt, adding to the overall stadium atmosphere. The transport company responsible for the U-Bahn station, Frankfurt (VGF), is also involved in the project.

This redesign is a testament to the enduring spirit of Eintracht Frankfurt and its dedicated fanbase. It underscores the club's commitment to preserving its rich history while embracing modernity. For fans and supporters alike, the Willy-Brandt-Platz underground station will now serve as a reminder of the club's glorious past and a beacon of its promising future.

The community policy of Frankfurt am Main includes a redesign of the Willy-Brandt-Platz underground station, incorporating vocational training in the form of replicas of Eintracht Frankfurt's stadium seats being used in the makeover. This sports-themed project aims to create a stadium atmosphere at the U-Bahn station, appealing not just to football enthusiasts but also vocational trainees learning about construction and design.
