Sunny Weather and Summer Temperatures to Return in Berlin and Brandenburg

The German Weather Service (DWD) has forecasted a warm and sunny weekend for Berlin, Brandenburg, Potsdam, and the Capital Region. The upcoming days will bring a comeback of summer temperatures after a brief cooler period.

On Thursday, the day in Berlin and Brandenburg is expected to be sunny, with temperatures reaching between 24 to 27 degrees. The night into Thursday will be mostly clear, with cloud fields moving in later. A light to moderate west wind will be present, blowing from southwest to south. In the north of Brandenburg, isolated showers may occur near the Poland border, but most places will remain dry.

The weather on Thursday in Berlin-Wilhelmstadt, for example, will be mostly cloudy with intermittent sun and temperatures ranging from about 15°C in the morning rising to 23°C in the afternoon. Nighttime will be mostly clear with lows around 13°C.

Saturday will be mostly dry and warm with a lot of sunshine across much of Germany, including Berlin and its surroundings. High temperatures are expected between 26 to 34°C, with the highest values mainly in the southwest. Northern parts, including Berlin, may see highs closer to 24-29°C with partly sunny to partly cloudy skies.

On Saturday, winds will mostly come from northwest to west with moderate speeds (around 7 to 15 km/h) but gusts can reach up to 40-44 km/h.

Sunday will see a notable cooling due to a cold front moving in. This front will replace the hot air with cooler maritime air, causing maximum temperatures in the northern regions such as Berlin and Brandenburg to drop below 25°C. The south may still reach just above 30°C in spots, but Berlin and vicinity will have cooler and cloudier conditions than Saturday. Overnight temperatures will also be significantly cooler, with lows around 10 to 13°C.

In summary, expect a warm and mostly sunny Saturday with highs around 23-29°C in Berlin and surroundings, but a cooler, cloudier Sunday with highs dropping below 25°C due to a cold front moving through. Winds will be moderate with occasional gusts. No significant precipitation is forecasted for the weekend in this area according to DWD data synthesized from current sources.

In line with this forecast, the community and employment policies within Berlin and Brandenburg may need to be adapted to accommodate the increased demand for outdoor activities as the warm, sunny weather returns. Furthermore, weather-forecasting organizations should continue to monitor the situation closely, especially regarding Sunday's cold front, to ensure accurate predictions and timely alerts to the public.
