In an unexpected turn of events, the storm Burglind has swept across several parts of Germany, leaving a trail of damage in its wake. The storm, with gusts reaching up to 120 km/h (wind force 12 on the Beaufort scale), caused significant disruption and damage in various cities.

The Rod district saw a tree uprooted, causing damage to a resident's garden fence and vehicle. The broken canopy from the tree flew through the Schuetzle underpass, where a part of the bus stop canopy also broke off. Barriers at construction sites, such as on Poststraße and Kelterstraße, were blown over.

Trash cans, recycling bins, and yellow bags were blown around the city, adding to the chaos caused by the storm. Drivers were advised to be cautious of large puddles to avoid splashing pedestrians. City employees have been working tirelessly to clean clogged gutters and drains in the city.

In exposed areas, gusts up to 120 km/h were expected, but relatively few damages were reported. The storm brought heavy rainfall to Pforzheim, and it has now passed through the city. The Spessart region, east of Neuhütten, also experienced damage to forest areas due to the storm.

The German Weather Service had issued a warning for stormy gusts between 80 and 100 km/h. The past days' storms may have raised some awareness among the public, as they prepare for any future weather-related disruptions.
