Title: The Lengthy Criminal Record of Mustafa K., The Persistent Con Artist

Mustafa K., a 23-year-old Syrian, is no stranger to the law. His criminal history begins at the tender age of 14, with multiple convictions that include harassment, assault, and robbery. Over the years, Mustafa's criminal lifestyle has continued, leading to several additional trials and sentencings.

In April of 2021, Mustafa and his accomplices took advantage of Elfriede K., a senior citizen, using a clever trick to swindle her out of over 26,000 euros. Mustafa followed this scam with an additional fraud, scaring Elfriede into giving him an additional 40,000 euros by posing as a lawyer. This isn't the first time Mustafa has used his deceitful tactics to cheat an elderly person out of their savings – it's just one of seven convictions on his record.

Mustafa K. (22) drove up to the trial at Halle District Court in a black Mercedes S-Class

Mustafa's criminal career started early. At 14, he received his first youth detention for repeatedly harassing and physically assaulting a classmate. Just a year later, the young Syrian went on to abuse a bathing guest and another pupil. The courts deemed it necessary to impose a juvenile sentence for his actions.

The charges against Mustafa continued to pile up. In 2018, he was convicted of four counts of intentional bodily harm, robbery, coercion, and theft. The sentence: three years in prison. By April 2018, another trial was underway, this time for burglary in a department store and at an optician's shop. Ten months in prison was the verdict.

Mustafa's přízeň for criminal activities didn't stop there. In February 2020, he was sentenced once again for robbing a pizza delivery man and robbing a drinks store at gunpoint. Another prison sentence was handed down.

When Mustafa was released from prison in 2021, he quickly returned to his criminal pursuits. He defrauded Elfriede R. out of her savings and was subsequently sentenced to four years in prison for these actions in the spring of 2023.

Currently, Mustafa stands trial in Dessau district court for robbery, with the loot totaling 1,200 euros and 300 grams of cannabis. Mustafa has confessed to the crime and is hoping for leniency during sentencing.

Elfriede K., the victim of Mustafa's early 2021 scam, has a different perspective on the situation: "He took everything I had saved. Even the 8,000 euros for my funeral didn't deter him. I hope he gets the punishment he deserves."

Police in Saxony-Anhalt are closely monitoring Mustafa's ongoing trial, and the verdict is expected in regional news soon. The prosecution presented evidence during the recent hearing at the regional court of Saxony-Anhalt to support the charges against Mustafa K.
