The club affiliated with ex-Coblenz footballer Leon Hysenaj has reportedly been manipulated or arranged, a matter that might stir controversy.
In a move that has excited football fans in Switzerland, Leon Hysenaj has returned to his home country to join FC Schaffhausen II. The 23-year-old midfielder, who spent three years with FC Schaffhausen from 2021 to 2024, will now be playing in the 2. Liga Interregional, Group 5 - the fifth tier of Swiss football.
Hysenaj's departure from TuS Koblenz, where he spent a season, was announced recently. Despite ongoing contract talks, Hysenaj decided not to renew his contract with the German club. During his tenure with TuS Koblenz, Hysenaj made 33 appearances, scoring six goals and assisting two more. He was a fan favourite at Stadion Oberwarth, and his departure left a void in the team.
Interestingly, Hysenaj's return to FC Schaffhausen is not his first stint with the club. He was 16 years old when he moved from FC Winterthur to FC Schaffhausen. In his debut for FC Schaffhausen, he wore the captain's armband, albeit with the first team in the Challenge League, not FC Schaffhausen II.
Despite his return, Hysenaj did not make any appearances for FC Schaffhausen II during his previous tenure with the club. His debut for the second team came in a 5-0 win against FC Wil II.
Hysenaj's return to FC Schaffhausen II has been met with enthusiasm, and fans are eager to see how he will perform in his new role. With his experience and talent, Hysenaj is poised to make a significant impact in the 2. Liga Interregional, Group 5.
