Willicher Triathlon: Title Sponsor Energy Company Boosts Event and Athlete Experience

The city's infrastructure projects are the primary sponsors for this year's Volunteer Triathlon event.

The Willicher Triathlon, a popular competition in three disciplines, is attracting a large number of participants this year. With over a thousand active participants expected, the event continues to grow in popularity.

As the title sponsor, an energy company plays a crucial role in ensuring the triathlon's success. The company's name and logo are prominently displayed throughout the event, reinforcing its brand association with health, endurance, and active lifestyles.

Financial support from the energy company helps cover the costs of organizing the triathlon, including logistics, safety measures, timing systems, and prizes. This backing enables the event to scale operations, invite more participants, and enhance overall quality and experience.

Athletes can enjoy green energy drinks and smoothies, sponsored by the energy company, after their races. Additionally, the company supplies nutrition products during the race and in the recovery zones.

The energy company also engages the local community, organizing health awareness campaigns and funding programs promoting youth sports or sustainability initiatives.

The city's utilities are not only providing supplies for the event but are also actively participating as competitors. Three teams from the city's utilities will participate in the relay category of the triathlon.

Numerous volunteers will ensure that runners can grab cups of water at the water station. The city's utilities will set up a water station at the Jakob-Frantzen-Hall on September 7 for the triathlon.

The energy company's sponsorship extends to rewarding athletes and children with green energy drinks and smoothies respectively. The children's bike at the event illuminates a pole with various animals, with slower pedaling causing the snail to blink and faster pedaling causing the tiger to shine.

The city's utilities team will set up a stand on the de Bütt grounds for the triathlon visitors. The stand will feature two energy bicycles for adults and children to pedal and produce green electricity.

Tafil Pufja, CEO of the city's utilities provider, is impressed by the commitment of the triathletes and volunteers. Ulrike Kretschmann, responsible for sponsorship, mentions that the energy bikes have been effective in conveying topics about the energy transition at other events.

The triathlon event is widely known, and registration for the competitions is ongoing, but some categories are already full. Interested participants can register at www.willicher-triathlon.de. The Willicher Triathlon is more than just a competition; it's a celebration of health, endurance, and community spirit.

Athlete participants will receive green energy drinks and smoothies, sponsored by the energy company, willingly as a reward for their races. The energy company has also donated nutrition products to be used during the triathlon and in the recovery zones, helping athletes refuel and stay energized throughout the competition.
