In the heart of the summer camp, a tense atmosphere has been building between two upperclassmen, Rob Roy and Kitsch. By mid-September, their feud had emerged, stirring up intrigue and fear among the camp's students.

Many students, particularly those of the lower and middle classes, watched the feud unfold with undisguised interest, considering the two boys the coolest figures in the camp. The girls in the tenth grade, in particular, took a liking to Rob Roy, often discussing who among the students would become his partner.

The feud between Rob Roy and Kitsch reached its peak with a physical altercation due to a mundane defeat in volleyball. Kitsch mockingly taunted Rob Roy, but the latter skillfully responded, leaving the brunette with no opening for an attack. The altercation was swiftly dispersed by Mr. Hindley and Mrs. Brown, who were present to ensure the safety of the children.

Elijah, the camp's director, was also involved in the situation. He met with Berkhard during the altercation, while Lucia, one of the camp's organisers, took the morning off. However, she ensured that Patsy, another popular student, had a separate room to paint undisturbed and even organised a birthday celebration for her. Trevor and Rob Roy arrived and handed Patsy gifts, with Trevor wishing her a happy birthday. Patsy also received gifts from her students, including Gretta, Denis, Jim, Lina, Campbell, and Phoebe.

Meanwhile, Lilibet, a newcomer to the camp, searched for Rob Roy at every opportunity and called out for him in her sleep. The small boxes wrapped with colorful ribbons on Patsy's table were from admirers, including Lilibet herself. Lilibet was excited about the upcoming cake for her birthday, and Lucia had arranged for a special surprise - Lucia promised that Leo would be coming tonight.

The camp was also a time for friendships and camaraderie. Cash and Margo arrived unexpectedly with gifts for Patsy, but Lucia understood they had no intention of congratulating her. Patsy's birthday was being celebrated with gifts and a cake, and even Patsy's art was appreciated by her classmates. Trevor entered the workshop and praised Patsy's drawings, and both classmates asked her to show them her work.

However, the feud between Rob Roy and Kitsch cast a shadow over the camp's otherwise joyous atmosphere. Some children reported feeling fear in unexpected moments, and Leo intervened to block Kitsch's punch, preventing further violence. As the camp nears its end, the tension between Rob Roy and Kitsch remains, leaving the campers and staff alike on edge.

In the midst of this tension, teenage girls found themselves captivated by the fashion-and-beauty of both Rob Roy and Kitsch, with discussions about their style regularly featuring in the tenth grade's lifestyle chats. Among the books in the camp's library, a new edition of a popular fantasy novel was spotted, left by a thoughtful student, possibly a gift for someone sharing their love for books and entertainment.
