According to a recent survey conducted by the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA Poll), a whopping 62.52% of respondents said they had a high level of trust in the Thai military when it comes to protecting the national interest in the Thai-Cambodian conflict. The government, on the other hand, only managed to secure 37.48% of trust among the Thai public.

When asked whether they supported the statement in the Thai national anthem that Thais love peace but are not cowardly when it comes to war, 69.39% said they strongly supported the statement, and 19.24% said they somewhat supported it. In other words, almost 9 out of 10 Thais stand behind their country when it comes to defending its territory.
