Terrorists linked to Indian support eliminated by security forces in Khuzdar, confirmed by ISPR (Inter-Services Public Relations).
Pakistan Security Forces Conduct Anti-Terror Operations
Pakistan's security forces have been actively engaged in eliminating terrorism within the country, as evident from the series of operations conducted recently. On September 13 and 14, 2025, 31 terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy "Fitna al Khwarij" were targeted in two separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The first operation took place in the Bajaur district, where 22 terrorists were neutralized between September 10-13, 2025. A similar operation in South Waziristan resulted in the elimination of 13 terrorists. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) provided a statement about the operation on September 15, 2025.
The terrorists targeted in these operations were likely involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area. In addition, an intelligence-based operation was conducted in Balochistan's Khuzdar district, where five Indian-sponsored terrorists were eliminated. A sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.
The border between Pakistan and Afghanistan remains a key issue for Pakistan due to the threat of terrorism. Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the eliminated terrorists. The Pakistan government and security forces have been making ongoing efforts to eliminate terrorism in the country.
Unfortunately, Pakistan has experienced a surge in cross-border terror incidents since 2021, particularly in the provinces of KP and Balochistan. In August 2025, there was a sharp escalation in militant attacks in Pakistan, with incidents surging by 74% compared to July. According to a report by the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS), there were 194 fatalities from militant attacks in Pakistan during August 2025.
Pakistan has urged Afghanistan to prevent its soil from being used by groups such as the TTP to carry out attacks inside Pakistan's territory. The border between Pakistan and Afghanistan spans around 2,500 kilometers with several crossing points that are significant for regional trade and relations. The border remains a crucial area of concern for the security forces, as it is often used by terrorists to infiltrate into Pakistan.
The operations were conducted by night, with the security forces demonstrating their commitment to maintaining peace and security in the region. The government and security forces will continue their efforts to curb the menace of terrorism in Pakistan and ensure the safety of its citizens.
