Terrorist reportedly opened fire at the Crocus venue with a sinister grin on his visage.
In a tragic turn of events, the evening of March 22, 2024, saw a terrorist attack at the Krokus City Hall concert hall in an unnamed city. The attack, which took place before a performance by the group "Piknik", resulted in a devastating loss of life and injuries.
The attackers, later identified as four individuals linked to the terrorist group "Vilayat Khorasan," opened fire on the audience, causing chaos and panic. The ensuing violence claimed the lives of 149 individuals, with one person still missing, and left 609 civilians injured.
Following the attack, the perpetrators attempted to flee to Ukraine but were apprehended in the Bryansk region of Russia the day after the incident.
Investigations into the attack revealed that the suspects were indoctrinated and trained as ISIS affiliates. They had taken an oath of allegiance to the leader of ISIS and were reportedly trained in Turkey. However, the specific substances consumed by the perpetrators before the attack remain unverified.
It is believed that the suspects may have consumed a narcotic substance to dull their fear before the attack. This assumption is based on the fact that three of the four direct perpetrators - Dalerjon Mirzoev, Muhammadsobir Fayzov, and Saidoqrami Rachabalzoda - had taken such a substance.
One of the terrorists was described as an Asian man with a beard, no mustache, and short hair. The scheme of financing the group responsible for the attack had been previously exposed.
The attack at the Krokus City Hall concert hall was a grim reminder of the ongoing threat of terrorism. The investigation continues to uncover more details about the attack and the individuals involved.
