Terrifying Locales Ranked in Star Wars

In the expansive galaxy of Star Wars, there are numerous planets that are as diverse and intriguing as the characters that inhabit them. These celestial bodies, each with their unique traits and histories, have played pivotal roles in shaping the course of the galaxy's fate. Let's embark on a journey to some of these planets, starting with Kashyyyk.

Kashyyyk, home to the Wookiees, is a world known for its harsh environment. It serves as a rite of passage for Wookiees or a place of banishment, indicating its challenging conditions. The planet Korriban, also known as Moraband, is the birthplace of the Sith and a place where the dark side of the Force reigns supreme. The planet's history is marred by constant wars, horrible experiments, and rituals, resulting in an environment filled with deadly fauna such as force-hunting terentateks, territorial shyracks, and dark side dragons known as hssiss.

Nathema, once a lush and beautiful world, was transformed into a place of horror by the infamous Sith Lord, Darth Vitiate. He used it as a prison to torture and experiment on his Force-sensitive adversaries. Interestingly, Nathema was completely devoid of the Force itself. Vitiate, born on Nathema, once summoned thousands of Sith Lords and double-crossed them, draining life and the Force from every living thing on the planet.

Mortis, a world outside of time and space, is home to three powerful Force deities who put Anakin Skywalker through a grueling test. This mysterious planet, much like its inhabitants, is strong in the Force and is characterised by unpredictable changes in time, weather, and land.

Exegol, a secret Sith world, was a place where dark Sith rituals were conducted before Palpatine's death. It is nearly impossible to reach due to the Red Honeycomb Zone and has an unstable atmosphere with constant storms. Before Palpatine's return, it was believed that more Sith rituals could be carried out there due to the planet's hidden Sith temples and forbidden teachings.

Zigoola, a world in Wild Space, has a dark history that influenced Obi-Wan Kenobi to force-choke a friend and ally, causing them to crash and struggle to survive. The Sith temple on Zigoola relentlessly assaulted Obi-Wan's mind, forcing him to relive moments of loss and pain. The only way to destroy the influence was to destroy the Sith holocron inside the temple.

The lower levels of Coruscant, the galactic capital, are inaccessible and have horrific living conditions. They are filled with pollution, barely breathable air, and artificial light due to lack of natural sunlight. The area is heavily populated with gangs, horrible people, and mutated creatures such as corridor ghouls, hive rats, and cthons.

Kashyyyk's Shadowlands possess similar traits to Coruscant's true Underworld, with thick foliage blocking natural sunlight and filled with deadly and carnivorous plants and dangerous creatures. The planet's atmosphere was changed due to the sun's deteriorated changes, causing all color to be drained and sound to be negatively distorted.

These planets, each with their unique characteristics and histories, serve as a testament to the diversity and complexity of the Star Wars galaxy. From the harsh environments of Kashyyyk and Coruscant's Underworld to the mysterious and ever-changing landscapes of Mortis, these planets have shaped the lives of countless characters and the course of the galaxy's history.
