A Fresh Look at Trump's 100 Days: Polls Paint a Grim Picture
"Terrifying and Disorderly": Americans Express Fears Over potential Re-election of Trump in White House
In the heart of President Donald Trump's second term, public opinion surveys suggest rough waters and widespread opposition to his handling of various issues. Let's delve into the latest polling data.
The New York Times recently revealed that a massive 66% of registered U.S. voters found "chaotic" an accurate description of Trump's second White House stint, while 59% considered "frightening" an appropriate adjective.
Republican voters, a key demographic of the party, were not immune to these perceptions. An astonishing 47% of Republicans, along with 75% of independents, believed the president's first three months in office to be "chaotic." Only 42% of voters deemed "engaging" an apt term for this period.
These negative feelings were not universal, however. When it came to handling immigration, the president garnered more positive responses, with 47% approving and 51% disapproving.
However, the president's lowest approval ratings came when voters were asked about his response to the Russia-Ukraine war and the deportation of alleged MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Only 35% approved of his actions in the Ukraine-Russia war, and 31% approve of the Abrego Garcia case. His net approval rating on both issues stood at a dismal -21 points.
With such low approval ratings across many issues, it comes as no surprise that less than half of voters expressed satisfaction with Trump's management of the federal government (44%), the economy (43%), trade (42%), and foreign conflicts (40%).
