This news was echoed in New Delhi and Islamabad, with India's first deputy foreign minister, Vikram Misri, stating that the truce commenced at 17:00 (14:30 Moscow time). Pakistan's foreign minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, appreciated the intervention of all the involved countries but warned that any further hostilities from New Delhi would provoke a strong response.
