Tennis superstar Rafael Nadal and his wife Mery Perelló have expanded their family with the birth of their second child, a son named Miquel. The baby was born on August 7 at the Hospital Quirónsalud Palmaplanas in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.
Miquel's name is a touching tribute to Mery's late father, Miquel Perelló Mas, who passed away in April 2023. The couple's first child, Rafael Junior, was born on October 8, 2022.
Rafa Nadal and Mery Perelló, who have been together for more than two decades, married in a beautiful ceremony at Sa Fortalesa, an impressive 17th-century fortress in Pollensa, Mallorca, in October 2019.
The couple left the medical center away from the cameras, accompanied by their families, after the birth. Mery Perelló was in the countdown for giving birth, as she was absent at the reception of King Felipe VI, Queen Letizia, and their daughters to the Balearic authorities on August 1.
Their second child, Miquel, is the fourth member of Rafa Nadal and Mery Perelló's family. The couple started dating during their adolescence and their relationship became public in 2005, the year Nadal won his first Roland Garros.
