In the ongoing US Open doubles tournament, Iga Swiatek and Casper Ruud have made a strong start, securing victories in their opening game and quarter-final match. Their latest opponents were Madison Keys and Frances Tiafoe, as well as Caty McNally and Lorenzo Musetti respectively.

Their wins came in quick succession, with a total game time of 81 minutes, showcasing their formidable partnership. Swiatek, currently on a winning streak, has proven to be a valuable asset to the duo.

Notably, Swiatek had played a two-hour match on Monday to win the Cincinnati Open before traveling to New York. Despite the late arrival and the tight turnaround, she expressed that it helped her unwind after her exertions in Cincinnati.

Casper Ruud, on the other hand, expressed his appreciation for Swiatek's dedication and performance. He noted that her late arrival in New York did not hinder their game.

Meanwhile, in the US Open mixed doubles competition, Jessica Pegula and Jack Draper, as well as Iga Swiatek and Casper Ruud, have secured their spots in the semi-finals. The mixed doubles semifinals participants also include Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori, who ousted Elena Rybakina and Taylor Fritz in the US Open doubles tournament.

In the mixed doubles draw, Danielle Collins and Christian Harrison replaced Jannik Sinner and Katerina Siniakova following Sinner's withdrawal due to illness. The US Open mixed doubles tournament uses a modified scoring system with short sets to four games, no-advantage scoring, tiebreakers at four-all, and a 10-point match tiebreak in lieu of a third set.

The final of the US Open mixed doubles competition will be a best-of-three set match to six games, featuring no-advantage scoring, tiebreakers at six-all, and a 10-point match tiebreaker instead of a third set. The winning pairing will pocket $1 million.

In the US Open doubles tournament semi-finals, Swiatek and Ruud will face top seeds Jessica Pegula and Jack Draper. The outcome of this match promises to be an exciting spectacle for tennis fans.
