In the much-anticipated main event of this year's German tournament, Alexander Zverev, the 19th ranked ATP player, will square off against Laslo Djere, ranked 57th, on July 30th. The match will take place indoors due to unfavourable weather conditions.

The Swedish official Mohammad Lahani has been appointed as the main referee for the match. This will mark Lahani's first major assignment in a high-profile tournament.

The Hamburg tournament has seen some exciting moments this year, with the men's singles title going to Italian Lorenzo Musetti. In a thrilling three-set match, Musetti defeated Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz (6:4, 6:7, 6:4).

Djere advanced to the final by defeating Zhizhen Zhang, ranked 79th. Zverev, on the other hand, secured his spot in the final by defeating Arthur Fils, the 71st ranked player, in the semifinals. Zverev won the match in two sets, with scores of 6:2 and 6:4.

The match between Zverev and Fils began at 18:35 Moscow time and lasted one and a half hours. The prize fund of the 2023 clay-court tournament in Hamburg exceeds 1.8 million euros, making it one of the most lucrative tournaments of the year.

While tennis is gaining popularity in Germany, it's worth noting that in Moscow, the most popular sports bets typically focus on local football teams such as Spartak Moscow and Rodina Moscow, as well as major events like the Russian Cup and Champions League matches involving top clubs. Betting on Spartak matches is especially favoured given their prominence in the city.

As the tournament comes to a close, all eyes will be on Zverev and Djere as they battle it out for the live score. The winner will not only take home a significant amount of prize money but also a well-deserved place in tennis history.
