Tennis Betting Strategies: Top Picks and Stakes for the Internazionali BNL d'Italia Tournament
Let's Get Dirty in Rome: 👀 here we are, folks! The 2025 clay-court 1000-level event of the year is upon us, and the ATP and WTA Tour's top dogs have floocked to Rome for the Internazionali BNL d'Italia. This tournament plays like a mini French Open, and that's why legends like Rafael Nadal have conquered it 10 times. Iga Swiatek has also made her mark, winning the thing three out of the last four years. Let's dive in and make those tournament futures pop in Italy. Keep reading for some tantalizing picks, and be sure to catch my daily tennis best bets right here on VSiN. I'll be dissected the men's and women's action throughout the event. If you're looking for smaller tournament action, don't forget to peruse my picks page.
Internazionali BNL d'Italia Women's Futures
Aryna Sabalenka To Win Quarter 1 (-140 - 2 units): Alright, I know it's tough to maintain that tournament-winning momentum, but Sabalenka is on a whole other level right now. Heading into Rome, she's got a 2025 Elo rating that puts her at the top of the WTA heap, over 100 points higher than the next closest competitor. She's 31-5 this year and has already taken home three titles. Sabalenka's humungous return game (44.3% break percentage, a career-high) is complemented by her elite serve, powerful baseline game, and her newfound variety. So while I'm not convinced she's going to lift the trophy in Rome, it's hard to imagine her crashing out in her quarter.
Iga Swiatek To Win Quarter 4 (-160 - 2.5 units) & Win Tournament (+230): I'm calling a comeback for Swiatek. Lately, it seems like everyone's written her off, but she's still sitting pretty at 26-8 this year. She's also played some of her best tennis on these slow clay courts, where her heavy topspin forehand allows her to drive play. So don't worry about a disappointing spring slump. Expect Swiatek to get back on track and pull off miracles once more. Last time she was at these odds, she ended up winning the whole shebang, so at +230, I'm jumping on board. The only player who could potentially halt her run before the semis is Elina Svitolina, but Swiatek should be able to outlast her on these courts.
QUICK NOTE: If the oddsmakers bless us with a line, I'd love to take a stab at Anna Kalinskaya reaching the quarterfinals. She was impressive in Charleston, after all, taking out Madison Keys in straight sets. But then Keys returned the favor in Madrid, defeating Kalinskaya 7-5, 7-6 (3). However, I think Kalinskaya could reverse that fortune in Rome, where conditions favor her over Keys or Paula Badosa in the Round of 16. 🤞
