Florian Knaack Joins TenneT TSO as Senior Advisor in Berlin
Florian Knaack, a seasoned professional with a background in energy policy, regulatory affairs, and political consulting, has joined TenneT TSO as Senior Advisor for Political Affairs Germany. His new role, based in Berlin, marks a significant addition to TenneT's Political Affairs & Communications team.
Prior to his tenure at TenneT, Knaack served as the Managing Director of the CDU/CSU Bundestag faction's Schleswig-Holstein group. Before that, he worked as a Scientific Advisor in the office of Deputy Fraction Leader Johann Wadephul. His experience in these roles, particularly his work within the CDU/CSU Bundestag faction, will be valuable assets in his new role at TenneT TSO.
In his new position, Knaack will be primarily responsible for managing and advising on TenneT's political and regulatory engagements within Germany. His duties will include monitoring political developments, contributing to policy formulation, liaising with government authorities and stakeholders, and ensuring that TenneT's interests are effectively represented in the political sphere, particularly regarding Germany's energy transition and grid infrastructure.
One of Knaack's key responsibilities will be serving as TenneT's key contact for the CDU/CSU Bundestag faction. His departure from the CDU/CSU Bundestag faction's Schleswig-Holstein group to take up this new role at TenneT TSO has caused a change in leadership within the group.
