Atyrau Region Holds Tactical Exercises to Boost Combat Readiness
The Atyrau region in Kazakhstan held special tactical exercises from September 9 to 18, with the main goal of practicing coordinated actions between the brigade's command and local military authorities. The exercises, themed 'Mobilization and bringing the brigade's units to the highest level of combat readiness', aimed to prepare the forces for various scenarios, including the repulsion of hypothetical enemy attacks and the defense of strategic facilities.
During the exercises, the reserve defense brigade of the Atyrau region demonstrated its ability to respond promptly to threats and protect infrastructure objects. The brigade collaborates with special units to carry out operations to repel the enemy on temporarily occupied territories and also participates in identifying and neutralizing reconnaissance-sabotage and terrorist groups.
On the final day of the exercises, a tactical scenario was demonstrated involving the repulsion of a hypothetical enemy attack and the defense of a strategic facility. In this scenario, Ibray Ädilgereyev, a staff member from the Center for Rapid Medical Assistance, played the role of a terrorist capturing an object.
Ibray Ädilgereyev, who has military experience dating back 20 years, expressed that the exercises were well-organized and reminded him of his military time. Several participants were awarded for their high activity and military preparedness following the exercises.
The reserve defense brigade of Atyrau region is responsible for protecting populated areas, communal facilities, and infrastructure networks in both peacetime and wartime. In wartime, it ensures the implementation of an emergency regime in its area of responsibility.
