Television's 2025-2026 Football Season: Catch the Matches on Screen

With the new Serie A season kicking off this weekend, football enthusiasts in Italy have a plethora of options to choose from when it comes to catching their favourite games. Here's a breakdown of the key broadcasters and what they offer:

Sportitalia, available on digital terrestrial channel 60, offers a selection of Argentine Primera División games each weekend, as well as the Primavera championship. The channel also features the Saudi Pro League, which includes footballing legend Cristiano Ronaldo.

Mediaset, on the other hand, has shown a lackluster interest in the Champions League based on last season's ratings. However, they are focusing on the exclusive Coppa Italia rights, broadcasting all matches.

SKY, a major player in the market, has exclusive rights to all Italian teams in the Champions League. They provide live streaming for around 2,500 games, including three Serie A games per round, the Premier League, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, and Bundesliga 2.

For those seeking a more extensive offering, DAZN is the go-to choice. They offer all 380 Serie A games, the Serie B season, La Liga, and main Portuguese championship games, making it a one-stop-shop for football lovers.

TV8, a digital terrestrial channel part of the Sky group, is attracting viewers on Tuesday nights with Champions League games featuring the best matchups of foreign teams, and on Thursdays with Europa League. LABTV, visible on Prime, broadcasts all games of the Serie B league.

For those interested in international leagues, COMO TV offers free coverage of the Eredivisie, select games from the Scottish, Greek, Argentine, Brazilian leagues, Libertadores and Sudamericana cups, and the Saudi Pro League. COMO TV, formerly known as Mola Tv, also follows the Scottish, Greek, Argentine, and Brazilian leagues, along with the Libertadores and Sudamericana cups.

Lastly, German broadcasters ARD and ZDF show the Champions League matches this year and additionally provide streaming services through their respective digital platforms like the ARD Mediathek and ZDF's online services. Prime Video exclusively broadcasts the most anticipated Champions League game of the evening on Wednesday nights.

With such a diverse range of options, Italian football fans are truly spoilt for choice this season. The schedule for viewers offers a variety of football games, ensuring there's always something to look forward to.
