Donald Trump, aged 79, is currently on a state visit to the UK, and the trip has been met with a variety of protests and demonstrations.

Thousands of people marched through the centre of London in a protest organized by the "Stop Trump Coalition". Numerous protest actions are taking place around Trump's state visit, with crowds voicing displeasure about various aspects of his politics, including his stance on climate change, racism, women's rights, and the situations in Gaza and Ukraine.

One of the most controversial actions was carried out by the British political activist group "Led By Donkeys". They organized an action in a park near Windsor Castle, where a giant image of President Trump with Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender, was rolled out. The image also appeared at other locations, such as a bus stop in front of the US embassy in London. This action was meant to be "a sobering reminder of what can happen when we can no longer rely on once-trusted sources of truth".

Above the crowd, numerous balloons floated, depicting a caricature of Trump as a baby in diapers. These balloons recall the same, but six-meter-tall balloon that Trump opponents released during his last visit to England in 2019, funded through a crowdfunding campaign.

Four people were arrested by the police in connection with the action, but the protestors continued to demonstrate loudly near Windsor, chanting slogans against Trump's presence.

Meanwhile, Channel 4 dedicated the whole day to the state visit in an unconventional way. They had a Trump impersonator take on the role of newsreader and spread fake news. The program "Trump vs. the Truth" will air, examining a comprehensive list of over a hundred untruths, distortions, and inaccuracies that the US President has made since his inauguration in January.

King Charles III, aged 76, hosted a state banquet with 160 guests, and Prince William, aged 43, and Princess Kate, aged 43, welcomed President Trump and First Lady Melania, aged 55, on Wednesday.

British public-service TV station Channel 4 announced it would present "an evening of programming" on Wednesday, focusing on Trump's extensive body of untruths and lies, starting from 10 pm. The action with the image of Donald Trump together with Jeffrey Epstein on a field near Windsor Castle during Trump's state visit to the UK was organized by two separate demonstrators aiming to highlight the connection between Trump and Epstein.

The state visit has certainly not lacked drama, and it remains to be seen how the rest of Trump's stay in the UK will unfold.
