Weimar hosts premiere as host of the "TeleVisionale" - TeleVisionale Festival Moves to Weimar, Promises Industry Showcase

The 'TeleVisionale' Film and Series Festival is set to take place in Weimar from December 1 to 5, 2025. This year marks the first time the festival is held in Weimar, having previously been hosted in Baden-Baden until 2024. The event promises to be the leading industry meeting for television movies and series from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Luxembourgish actress and director Désirée Nosbusch will helm the series prize jury, while a prominent jury, chaired by Andreas Dresen, will decide the winners of the Television Film Prize 2025. Actress Karoline Schuch will serve as the sole juror for the newly created MDM Young Talent Director Award, endowed with 7,500 Euros.

The festival will feature five series productions competing for the top prize. Additionally, ten television movies will be showcased and broadcast on 3sat during the event. The program includes public jury discussions and a focus on the industry in Central Germany. The awards ceremony will take place at the German National Theatre in Weimar on December 5.
