Once known for her light-hearted performances on the beloved family sitcom "Full House," actress Candace Cameron Bure (49) now finds herself treading a different path, expressing apprehension over the darker aspects of entertainment. As she shares on "The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast," horror movies could be the "key" to a sinister realm, a "gateway" to the supernatural.

Home Isn't Just for Comfort

In the latest podcast episode, the "Full House" actress reveals that her family often teases her about her discussions on spiritual matters. One topic that often elicits eye-rolling from her husband and three children is the television, which she refers to as her "gateway."

"If you watch something or play this video game or whatever, it's a gateway through which things could seep into our home," the actress asserts. She strictly forbids horror movies from her household: "As far as I'm concerned, it's a gateway."

Bure, having played Teenage daughter D.J. Tanner for eight seasons on the internationally successful sitcom from 1987 to 1995, has recently appeared in movies like "Ainsley McGregor Mysteries: A Case For The Winemaker" and "Home Sweet Christmas."

Demonic Influences Behind the Scenes?

"I'm part of this industry," Bure adds. "I understand how everything works. I know a film has a crew of 200 people who handle lighting, sound effects, makeup, cameras, extras, and actors. But there's still something that can be incredibly sinister happening while they're at work."
