Television network Wedotv persists in its growth and expansion

Wedotv, the free-to-use streaming platform, has announced an exciting expansion of its sports programming, now featuring a broader range of content across various genres. This move is part of a strategic decision to increase visibility and attract new advertising partners, as well as to cater to a wider audience's interests.

The expanded sports programming on Wedotv now includes the Royal Ascot horse racing coverage with live races and associated content for viewers in Southeast Asia. This new broadcasting partnership, secured through a global distribution deal by HBA Media, will provide full access to live race coverage and additional horse racing-related content for viewers in the region. The coverage also includes documentaries and talk shows around the event.

In addition, Wedotv has acquired the rights to broadcast the eSkootr World Championship, a sport involving electric scooters. Participants in this exciting new competition include notable personalities such as Elise Christie (short-track speed skating world champion), Billy Morgan (Olympic snowboarding bronze medalist), Tre Whyte (BMX world champion), and teams associated with Anthony Joshua (former boxing world champion) and Nico Hülkenberg (Formula 1 driver).

Wedotv's sports offerings in Europe have been enhanced via HOTBIRD satellite, with the addition of Wedotv sports channels alongside their movies and stories channels. This means that European homes can now access a variety of sports content, including football, Formula 1, tennis, and the Handball Bundesliga, with previews, magazines, and documentaries available for each sport.

The content will be adapted to the user's country of origin, and Wedotv's horse racing coverage includes events like the Epsom Derby, King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes, Irish Champions Stakes, Melbourne Cup, Breeders Cup, Royal Ascot, Down Under, and racing festivals in the US. Sailing enthusiasts can expect to see the German Sailing League Championship and the Sailing Champions League on Wedotv.

Wedotv's content will eventually be available to users worldwide, with availability depending on the user's location. The service provided by Video Solutions AG, the company behind Wedotv, remains free and is funded through advertisements.

In a move to further strengthen its position, Wedotv was created through a merger with W4free, announced at the beginning of May 2022. This merger aims to increase Wedotv's reach and open up new markets.

In addition to sports content, Wedotv has also launched a linear channel, wedo movies, exclusively available on MagentaTV by Deutsche Telekom. This channel will feature documentaries about notable sports figures such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Lewis Hamilton, and Tiger Woods.

As Wedotv continues to grow and evolve, it is clear that the platform is committed to providing a diverse range of high-quality content to its global audience. With its expanded sports programming and new acquisitions, Wedotv is set to become a go-to destination for sports fans across the globe.
